A new study by Stanford University suggests that those who want to deny white privilege exists do so by saying that they have overcome hardships in their lives. The feel that they have not gained any special treatment by the color of their skin, but misunderstand what the term “white privilege" means. Studien innebar två grupper som fyllde i ett frågeformulär om deras syn på jämlikheten i Amerika samt ett frågeformulär om deras barndom. Ena gruppen fick följande serverat tillsammans med första frågeformuläret,
"In the last half of this century, Americans have given considerable attention to matters of racial inequality. Despite increased attention to the issue, most social scientists agree that, even today, White Americans enjoy many privileges that Black Americans do not. White Americans are advantaged in the domains of academics, housing, healthcare, jobs, and more compared to Black Americans." - Philips and Lawery (2015)
, medan andra gruppen enbart fick frågeformuläret. I resultatet framkom att gruppen som fick läsa citerat stycke uppgav större svårigheter under barndom än den andra gruppen. Detta hävdar författarna bekräfta deras hypotes om att citerad text, som enligt dem bevisar "vitt privilegium", får "vita" individer att uppge svårare barndom. Därefter utfördes ett andra experiment med adderandet av "Affirmative action support".
Studien har inte påvisat att "vita" individer uppger större svårigheter än andra.

Mm.. och i en annan undersökning när man läste upp texter ur USAs grundlag så trodde en stor del att det var ur Kommunistiska manifestet!🤪
